I've received reports that my normal Windows XP networking instructions don't work with Windows Vista. This is not surprising because Vista has many more security features active in it.
Having delved inside the bowels of Vista networking, it would appear that Vista networking components are seriously flawed, with even Apple Mac users complaining about Vista connectivity, it's currently unable to connect to RISC OS and transfer more than the smallest (ie. <10K) of files, even with Vista Service Pack One (SP1) installed. If Microsoft fix all the problems with Vista, then I'll re-evaluate the situation. In the meantime I would recommend people continue using Windows XP instead.
